Quit Smoking Community Scholarship
Quit Smoking Community offers scholarships every semester to those who bring awareness to the dangers of smoking. To apply, students must submit an essay of 750-1,500 words on a topic relevant to smoking-related problems.

Quit Smoking Movement Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to three students each semester. To apply a typed essay between 1,000 and 1,500 words that answers the questions on the website are needed.

  • Amount: Up to $1,800

Microsoft Diversity Scholarship
A scholarship for students underrepresented in the STEM field

  • Criteria: Student in STEM or computer science with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of 4

Alcohol Addiction Awareness Essay Contest
Alcorehab is offering three scholarships, one winner and two runner ups, to students who want to raise awareness of the dangers of alcohol. An essay of less than 1,200 words needs to be submitted on one of the topics listed on their website.

  • Criteria: Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Refugee, Asylee, Cuban-Haitian Entrant, or Humanitarian Parolee, and be at least 18 years old

Versitas Education Scholarship
This annual scholarship is offered to a student who best answers the question listed on their website in 400 words or less.

The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation
Potential Truman Scholars are required to submit three letters of recommendation and an Institutional Nomination form; both are easily found on their website. You must be nominated, therefore, by either a faculty member or by a Truman Nomination Committee at your college. Between 55 and 65 new Truman Scholars are chosen each year.

  • Criteria: Be nominated by a faculty member or Truman Nomination Committee, Have a desire to improve the way government agencies, nonprofit organizations, or educational institutions serve the public.

Fahrney Education Foundation Scholarship
This annual scholarship is awarded based on scholastic performance and citizenship. Applicants are eligible to receive up to four awards.

Motivis Learning Aspiring Educator Scholarship
Motivis Learning wants to award an aspiring educator who explains in less than 800 words how they plan to “change the world through education”.

  • Criteria: be at least 18 years old, be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program (Education majors preferred)
  • Submission Deadline: February 28
  • Amount: $10,000

I Heart My School Scholarship
ABODO is offering a scholarship twice a year to students who write an essay with no more than 1000 words describing the five things you love most about your school.

Stars Scholarship Fund
This fund has clear details about all steps in the scholarship application process, including the application period, review period, and recipient selection period. Scholarships, however, are available only to those permanently residing in 1 of 31 specified northwestern and southern Texas counties. Recipients are chosen on the basis of GPA, currently earned undergraduate credits, and financial need.

  • Criteria: Be from 1 of 31 Texas counties listed on the scholarship webpage, Be of sophomore-year standing or above, GPA of at least 2.7

BSN Nursing Scholarship
The BSN Nursing Scholarship is reserved for full-time students and thosemajoring in nursing. (Note: There are also many other scholarships reserved for Genesis employees and/or dependents of Genesis employees.)

Facing Acne Scholarship
To apply for this scholarship, students must create a unique and interesting short video (five minutes or less) that answers questions posed on the scholarship website.

Rising Capital Associates Structured Settlements Scholarship
An essay of less than 2000 words that answers the prompt listed on the Rising Capital Associates website is all that is needed to apply to this scholarship.

ASCO Scholarship Program
This is a merit-based award and is given to two engineering students pursuing careers in automation-related disciplines. In addition to the scholarship, $1,000 grants are awarded to the engineering departments of the colleges in which the winners are enrolled. Scholarship recipients may also be eligible for an ASCO internship.

  • Criteria: Have completed your sophomore year in a bachelor’s degree program or enrolled in a graduate program

OppU Achievers Scholarship
OppLoans offers four scholarship awards throughout the year to students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement. To apply, students must submit a short essay responding to the prompt listed on their website in 750 words or less.

HomeLight Scholarship
HomeLight wants to support students who have a passion for improving the world of real estate in one way or another. Padgett Communications Scholarship

What’sFlame Young Entrepreneur’s Internet Marketing Scholarship

NURSE Corps Scholarship Program
The Health Resources and Services Administration offers this scholarship annually to students in exchange for a minimum two-year full-time service commitment (or part-time equivalent) at an eligible service health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses. A monthly stipend is also awarded in addition to the scholarship award. Scholarship winners are chosen based on several selection factors including their academic performance and their response to essay questions.

Bella Ballroom Excellence in Performing Arts Scholarship
Students must submit a 2-minute video, showcasing their skills in their relative performance art. You must also submit a short essay that discusses how your pursuit toward excellence in an individual area of performance art impacts the world and yourself.

  • Criteria: Be studying dance, music, theater, performing arts, or related field, GPA of at least 3.0
