In addition to presenting Marv Levy '50 with the Founders' Medal, Coe unveiled the newly named Marv Levy Way at the corner of College Drive and D Avenue NE.


  • Levy receives Coe Founders' Medal
    Coe College bestowed its highest honor – the Founders' Medal – on Marv Levy '50 on April 22. As a past recipient of Coe's Alumni Award of Merit (1972), Athletic Hall of Fame (1973), and honorary degree (1991), Levy was formally awarded the Founders' Medal for "exemplifying in extraordinary degree the qualities of a liberally educated person."

  • Cobb details history of American racism at Contemporary Issues Forum
    Citing a "difficult time" in America as recent developments have revealed fault lines in society, 2017 Contemporary Issues Forum speaker Jelani Cobb traced the history of racism in the United States back to its founding.

  • Diversity initiatives take root at Coe
    Provost Paula O'Loughlin only needed one year to accomplish what she had planned would take three years to meet Coe's strategic plan initiative to enhance faculty diversity.

  • Make Your Move – the Campaign for Eby and Hickok
    Coe dedicates newly renovated and expanded Hickok Hall. Plus donor profiles on trustees Kim Benjamin '75 and Steve Kline '76.

  • Graduation 2017
    With a large number of family and friends in attendance on a picture-perfect day, Coe President David McInally conferred Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Music degrees on 315 graduates.

  • Coe scholars accumulate awards
    Six graduating Coe seniors and a recent alumna have received prestigious Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards for the 2017-18 academic year. The seven recipients represent a new record number of Coe students and recent alumni who have received Fulbrights in a given year.

  • Johnson set to graduate from Coe
    Jean Johnson came to Coe in 1989 with many doubters and big shoes to fill. Twenty-eight years later, she has silenced all doubt and outgrown the shoes of her alumni director mentor, Harris Lamb '27.
