MEET THE DIRECTOR
Coe’s Health Services Director, Amy Leitch, joined the Kohawk family in 2012. Amy came to Coe College to be Director of Health Services after 12 years of professional employment at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Amy received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2000), Master of Science in Nursing (2010), and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (2011) from the University of Iowa. Amy also received a Master’s in Business Administration (2005) from St. Ambrose University.
Amy is certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and will complete a certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2012. Amy's professional experience has focused on the health and wellness, in acute and chronic care settings, of infants, children, adolescents and young adults. In her personal time Amy enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and volunteering with local and international organizations.

HEALTH SERVICES STAFF
Himena Harris, MSN, ARNP joined the Coe Health Services staff in September 2012. Himena is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Himena has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Luther College, completed a Master's in Nursing and Healthcare Practice (2005) and a Master of Science in Nursing (2010) from the University of Iowa. Himena is certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and will complete her Family Nurse Practitioner in 2012. Himena's professional experience has focused on the care of critically ill infants at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Himena is also a Nurse Practitioner for United Action for Youth and Mercy Hospital working with young adults and their children. Himena keeps busy in her personal time with her family.
Michele Oswood, Assistant to the Director of Health Services has worked at Coe for eight years. Michele has a degree in Respiratory Therapy. She worked as a Respiratory Therapist before changing course and working in the marketing field for several years. In her personal time she spends time with family and friends, biking, running and traveling.
