Professor Baranowski teaches Principles of Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, U.S. Economic History, Money and Banking and Labor Economics. His research interests are in the fields of macroeconomics and monetary economics with a focus on expectations and informational frictions.

Professor Carstens teaches marketing, advertising, and strategic management. She is the Administrative Coordinator of Coe's Public Relations degree. Pam also runs small business consulting projects for the department and frequently supervises student research projects. She is active with the Investment Fund.

Professor Chen specializes in Finance. He teaches Principles of Finance, Investment Analysis, and Intermediate Financial Management. His research interests are in Corporate Governance, Earnings Manipulation, and Derivatives and Foreign Exchange Markets.

Dr. Eichhorn's teaching and research fields are Econometrics and Monetary Macroeconomics. Rick came to Coe in the fall of 2000 and teaches a variety of courses in the economics curriculum, focusing on quantitative methods and macroeconomics. He is very active in the Spellman Summer Research Workshop and has supervised many honors theses and other research projects where he focuses on developing students' empirical analysis and professional writing skills. His students regularly present their work at the Student Research Symposium, as well as off-campus conferences. Rick's own research has been published in Applied Economics and the Journal of Macroeconomics.

Professor Hall teaches the department's Computers in Business course. Joe also teaches a variety of courses on computer applications, website design, and digital media at area colleges.

Professor Hayes left a successful career in private practice to teach business law and management courses at Coe. He is actively involved with the College's Wilderness Field Station and is the prelaw advisor for students considering law school. David also assists on special projects for Coe's administration.

Dr. Knudson teaches business statistics and principles of economics. Before coming to Coe, Mary was a Research Scientist with the Economic Research Service of U.S.D.A. specializing in Development and Production economics, and taught applied economics courses at the U. of Minnesota and Michigan.

Professor Kuennen teaches both marketing and management courses and has an interest in international business/marketing. Rob lived and worked abroad for over two years and taught courses in both the Czech Republic and Ecuador. He worked in private industry for several years before committing himself to academia.

Dr. Larew teaches accounting, specializing in tax accounting, managerial accounting, and auditing. Barb trains and supervises students who participate in the IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Professor Nguyen teaches principles of management, cross-cultural management, organizational behavior, and human resource management. Before coming to the U.S., Vinh worked for several years as an instructor at the National Economics University in Vietnam. Vinh's research interests include employee turnover, organizational change, and international business strategy.

Professor Trout teaches principles of accounting and finance courses. Before beginning his teaching career, Kevin worked in public accounting as a tax manager, and in industry as a controller and CFO. He has masters degrees in accounting and finance and is currently working on a masters degree in taxation.
