What activities are you involved in?
Why did you decide to attend Coe?
When I came here for my visits everyone was very friendly and the atmosphere on campus was really cool. Also, they have a good football program and the coaches are awesome to work with. It just fit right away. The opportunities in the athletic training program had a big influence on my decision as well.
What is the best part of being a Kohawk?
You can ask anyone here on campus for help and they will help you. Everyone is friendly and winners wear gold.
What do you remember most from your first year?
So far my most memorable moment was my first football game as a Kohwak. Coe has a great atmosphere to play in.
Describe your favorite interaction with a professor.
All of my professors are easy to approach and always make class enjoyable. They bring an outgoing environment to class and keep everyone involved.
What advice would you give to a prospective student considering Coe?
I would visit a lot of colleges and ask lots of questions. Even if you find a college you like, make sure to keep visiting colleges. You will know when you find the right one.
What do you like to do in your free time?
There are always things happening on campus. Personally, I like to hang out with my friends and teammates.
What is it like living in Cedar Rapids?
Cedar Rapids has a lot of options! I come from a small town so Cedar Rapids is awesome to me. There are many restaurants, movie theatres and lots of things to do. You are never bored.
What was the best part of being a first-year student?
Being a first-year at Coe is great because you realize you have three more years of college. Everyone is a little worried about their first year of college but at Coe you make the transition quickly and there are tons of people here to help you make the adjustment.
If you could bring one thing from your hometown to Coe what would it be?
I would bring my family and friends with me. If I could share this experience with them it would make it even better. But it is also nice to meet new people and it's really easy to make friends here at Coe.
How would your friends describe your personality?
My friends would describe me as nice, caring, trustworthy, funny, athletic and smart. I like to help them with their problems and they tell me they can always count on me.
