Karkosh, Anciaux earn All-Iowa Conference honors

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Senior Amber Karkosh (Toledo, Iowa/South Tama) and freshman Sarah Anciaux (Iowa City, Iowa/City) were named to the All-Iowa Conference team today. Karkosh was named to the first team, while Anciaux was a second team selection. This was just the third time in school history that the Kohawks have had two selections on the All-Conference teams.

Karkosh becomes just the third three-time First Team All-Iowa Conference selection in conference history. She ranked ninth in the conference in scoring with 12.7 points per game, fourth in rebounding at 7.5, seventh in assists at 2.5 and second in steals with 2.1 per game. She ranks second in career scoring and owns the top-three single-season scoring totals in school history.

Anciaux ranked 16th in the conference in scoring with 10.3 points per game, second in assists with 5.94 per game and fourth in assists-to-turnover ratio. She broke the single-season school record for assists with 151 on the year.

The Kohawks finished the season with a 20-8 record, breaking a 27-year old school record for wins. Coe started the season 8-0, the best start in school history. They also finished 11-5 in the Iowa Conference, earning third place in the standings, the highest finish by a Coe women's basketball team.
