Congratulations Senior
Class of
2005 and good luck in everything you do!
Dear
Class of 2005,
Welcome to the alumni family! The rewards, benefits, and fun of
being a Coe graduate will last a lifetime. On May 8, you will
become a member of the Coe College Alumni Association. You pay
no dues or fees for alumni services. As a graduate, you are always
welcome to participate in alumni programs. The Alumni Office is
the hub of alumni activity. We invite you to take part in the
many programs and events the Alumni Office plans in your area
or on campus. Coe alumni activities are posted on our web site
at http://www.coe.edu/alumni/.
You will also find the alumni
email directory that lists alumni who have agreed to post
their email addresses. We hope this information provides useful
information about alumni services at Coe.
Sincerely,
Jean Johnson

The Coe College Courier
An
unmentioned benefit of your Coe College education is your free
lifetime subscription to the Courier.
Now in its 104th year, the magazine strives to keep alumni informed
about Coe’s people, programs and events. Each spring, summer
and winter, it will arrive in your mailbox—provided you
keep us informed of your whereabouts!—to entertain you with
news about your alma mater, your fellow alumni, your classmates,
your favorite professors and those who follow you through these
hallowed halls. The “Class Notes” section in each
issue is a place to share personal news, such as new jobs, professional
honors, marriages, births and other important events in your life.
The Courier also invites
letters on its contents or topics related to the college. Call
editor Lonnie Zingula at (319) 399-8613 or e-mail courier@coe.edu.
Informing the Alumni Office
Send your new name and/or new address. Send information for the
"Class Notes" section of the Courier magazine. In order
for us to send you the Courier magazine and other information
about Coe, we must have your current name and address in our database.
Cutoff dates for receipt of news for each issue are published
at the beginning of the "Class Notes" section. Please
keep us posted!
Volunteer Opportunities
Why not volunteer your time to help out your alma mater? There
are many ways you can help Coe by donating some of your time,
such as…
Alumni/Admission Network—Join alumni volunteers
who have agreed to help in recruiting future Kohawks. Share your
Coe experience with prospective students at college fairs, receptions,
or by phone. It is important to have the most recent grads as
part of the Alumni/Admission Network. Your insights, experiences,
and enthusiasms will speak convincingly to prospective students
and their parents.
Class Representative System—Wouldn’t
it be nice to stay in touch with your classmates and Coe? If you
are creative, enjoy organizing reunions, like to write letters
and even talk on the phone, then you should think about being
a Class Representative. You will serve as a link between your
class and Coe College.
If you would like to find out more about volunteering at Coe,
contact the Alumni Office at (319) 399-8561.
Coe Fund Support
For the rest of your life you will be known as a Coe College
graduate, and the value of your diploma from Coe depends on the
quality of the College today and into the future. Student tuition
and fees generate only 69% of what it costs to educate a student
at Coe. Gifts to the Coe Fund help make up the difference. By
giving a gift to Coe through the Coe Fund, you will be supporting
all areas of college operations: student programs, scholarships,
faculty programs, equipment, curriculum, the library, technology,
extracurricular activities, and facilities. The Coe Fund is a
resource to help the College meet its most pressing needs every
year. We depend on our alumni support year after year. One way
you can help improve Coe’s place in the national rankings
and attract grants from foundations is to contribute to Coe annually
in order to increase the percentage of alumni giving. Whether
you give $10 or $100, you are helping Coe remain the strong and
highly regarded institution it was when you attended. Your education
at Coe was supported by gifts from others—and now you can
return the favor.

Coe Fight Song
Fight on you Kohawks,
Fight on for victory,
Fight on for red and gold—
Lift up your heads and sound the call
For your teammates bold,
Rah! Rah! Rah!
You’ll bring in glory
For the name of Coe
And for the halls of fame
And the Laurels of battle will be ours
Forever to remain.
Chant
Our team will GO
Our team will FIGHT
Our team will WIN
Our team will GO, FIGHT, WIN
(Repeat verse)
Coe Alma Mater
Hail, Hail to Coe. We pledge to thee
Our fervent love and loyalty;
Whate’er they fortune, we will hold
True to the Crimson and the Gold;
Oh, may their glory never fail!
Alma Mater, Hail! Hail! Hail!
Fair Coe, thy sons revere thy name;
Honor the men who brought thee fame.
Like them we too would valiant be
Fighting for truth and victory;
Loyal to thee, we must prevail!
Alma Mater, Hail! Hail! Hail!
When from these hallowed halls we go,
Our hearts will ever yearn for Coe;
And through the years from near and far,
We’ll turn to Coe, our Guiding Star;
Oh, may its luster never pale!
Alma Mater, Hail! Hail! Hail!
I Want to Go Back to

I want to go back I’ve got to go back
To Coe again!
