If
you're looking for new educational opportunities, Coe can make
the process easy for you—whether you're transferring from a
school just down the block or from halfway around the world.
Find out how easy it is to transfer to
Coe. You can get answers to your questions by scheduling a
visit to campus, either
by calling 319-399-8500 or Toll Free 1-877-CALL COE.
During your visit we can review a copy of your transcripts and
answer questions about course transferability. We can also
schedule appointments for a campus tour, as well as set up times
with faculty, coaches and financial aid, for starters.
Coe offers a number of academic programs for you to explore
new fields or to continue your education. Many of the courses
you have already completed may count for credit at Coe—this
will be determined by the Registrar upon your acceptance. The
unit of credit at Coe is the course credit, with one course credit
equal to 4 semester hours. Coursework must have a final
grade of 'C' or better (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) and closely
correspond to one of our regular catalog courses to be considered
for transfer credit.
To apply to Coe, simply submit the following:
- A completed application for admission (your $30 application
fee is waived by applying online or if completed by
December 10). Transfer students under the age of 25 can
use the regular application form, available both online and
as a download, in a printable
format. There is an Adult
Application available
for those students aged 25 and over.
- Official academic transcript from your high school.
- Official academic transcripts from every college or university
you have attended. Transcripts must be received from all previous
schools attended before you are considered for admission.
Transfer student admission notification is on a rolling basis,
so you should receive an answer within two weeks of a completed
application file. New transfer students may enroll at the beginning
of the Fall or Spring terms.
Because Coe is a residential campus, this means you’ll not only
learn with your classmates, they'll be your next-door neighbors.
Coe has five furnished residence
halls and six College-owned apartments,
only steps away from your classes.
We offer a number of activities
and programs that allow you to get involved on campus and
truly experience Coe. Write for the Cosmos (Coe’s weekly
newspaper), join a fraternity or sorority, or participate in our
numerous intramural sports.
There are a number of scholarship and financial
aid opportunities to make your transition to Coe simple.
