What activities are you involved in?
I am a member of the Kohawk football team and involved in the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Why did you decide to attend Coe?
Coe had the small town feel and community atmosphere that I was looking for in a college, and I had family members that have attended the school with nothing but great things to say about it.

What does Coe mean to you?
Coe is like a home away from home for me.  It has the perfect combination of educational, social, and athletic aspects that have made my college experience everything I could have asked for and more.

What is it like living in Cedar Rapids?
Cedar Rapids has so many opportunities for fun, so there is never a dull moment.  If you aren’t interested in something at Coe, then there is always something to do off campus, whatever your interests may be.

Why should a prospective student choose Coe?
Coe is a melting pot of opportunities that allows any student, whatever his or her talents and interests, to be involved.  In addition, Coe’s academics are unrivaled by other schools as it has professors and other faculty members that are solely concerned with providing students with the best educational experience possible.  New students will also make friendships that will last a lifetime.  What’s better than that?

How has Coe changed your life?
Coe has presented me with unbelievable opportunities that I never thought existed.  It has allowed me to look deeper inside of myself to explore my own interests and develop my talents as best I can.  I have also built friendships that will last me the rest of my life, and I have met people that provide amazing networking for future jobs and other professional opportunities.

What do you like best about Coe?
I love how I can play competitive college sports and balance it with school.  Not only is Coe a great academic school, but the athletics are top-tier as well.  Also, I am from a small town, and I like that Coe is a small school in a big city with plenty of opportunities for fun.

What do you do for fun on the weekends?
Hang out with friends, go to athletic events, go to movies, attend a lot of the activities on campus (dances, musicians, comedians, etc.)

Who is your favorite professor?
John Lemos – he has the ability to keep class entertaining, comical, and interesting while still being able to help you learn at the same time.

What advice would you give to a prospective student considering Coe?
It is important to explore a lot of colleges and try to get the feel of where you would fit best.  I think it can really help to meet some of the students that attend the colleges and see what they have to say.  I know when I was trying to decide where to attend college, it really helped me to take an overnight visit and get a feel for the college life at Coe, specifically.

What are your career goals after Coe?
As of now, I hope to attend medical school to become a sports medicine doctor.

What service opportunities do you do?
I help with the Special Olympics that Coe hosts, and as a member of SAAC, I have helped with several sports camps for children, fundraisers, etc.

How was Coe in terms of scholarship support?
In comparison to the other schools I looked at before attending college, Coe offered the most scholarship support by far.
