Chelsea White '12

Hometown: Marion, Iowa
Major: Political Science and History

What activities are you involved in?
Some of my favorites are Political Science Club, Circle K, Model UN, Coe Cosmos, and History Club.

Why did you decide to attend Coe?
I decided to attend Coe because I like the low student to faculty ratio and the community aspect of the campus environment.

What does Coe mean to you?
Coe is my home. I know that there are people at Coe that will always be there for me and I have made some awesome friends that I will know forever.

Have you had any internship, research or study abroad experiences?
I am doing the Marine Biology May Term this year. I also hope to study abroad in either Washington D.C. or Greece.

Why should a prospective student choose Coe?
You'll always be able to find somewhere that you belong because of the amounts of activities there are to participate in.

How has Coe changed your life?
I am way more outgoing than I was in high school. I am a leader in student organizations and I can perform my poetry at Blindspot, in front of people which is a huge accomplishment that I've made at Coe.

What is your favorite class and why?
I love all of my political science courses because they are all equally challenging and taught by different professors so I get a wide range of teaching styles.

What do you remember most from your first year?
I remember orientation week because I met some of my best friends over that week. I also had a really awesome CAP leader, Andy Johnson.

What do you plan to do after Coe?
I plan to become a prosecuting attorney so I want to attend the University of Iowa, School of Law.

What is your favorite place on campus?
Murray Hall, it's my dorm and my favorite place to be because you always have someone to spend time with or something to do.
