The Diversity Leadership Scholarship

About the award: Since 1851 Coe College has been committed to seeking out, enrolling, and cultivating bright and talented students who with a good liberal arts education can become leaders and serve the communities in which they live. Coe College is committed to providing a well-rounded experience in the academic classrooms and residential-campus environment.  We firmly believe that the educational experience is enriched by inclusion of strong voices from diverse backgrounds. All students can benefit from interaction with peers whose life experiences differ substantially from their own. In a sincere effort to attract academically talented students from underrepresented diverse groups, Coe awards up to 10 full-tuition scholarships for U.S. citizens per year (renewable for four years) to graduating high school seniors, in order to support the presence of valuable role models on our campus. Economically disadvantaged students from historically under-represented minorities, including African Americans, Hispanics, Latinos/as, Asian Americans, and Native Americans, are especially encouraged to apply.

Goal: The Coe College Diversity Leadership Scholarship is proposed to enrich the student body and enhance the campus community by attracting bright and talented students who have demonstrated high academic achievement, will contribute to the diversity of the student body, and will provide leadership and service on Coe's campus and in their lives beyond graduation.

Application: This scholarship is competitive. Applications must be submitted by March 3, 2008 and include:

  • The Scholarship Application Form
