The nursing program is designed to provide students with the highest quality professional education. The department is open to general students pursuing their initial registered nurse license at the bachelor's degree level and registered nurses interested in earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- The Coe nursing program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the accrediting arm of the American Association of Colleges in Nursing.
- Small class sizes allow for individualized attention in both the classroom and skills laboratory.
- During their junior and senior years, students are given the opportunity to work one-on-one with a registered nurse expert at St. Luke's and Mercy hospitals located within walking distance from the college, as well as other clinical sites in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.
