Computer Science
Coe's computer science program is designed to prepare students for careers in industry and to provide a solid theoretical foundation for students interested in attending graduate school. The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers both a major and minor concentration in computer science.

- Many Cedar Rapids businesses offer internship opportunities for the practical application of computer science knowledge.
- A semester-long program at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory allows advanced students in the mathematical sciences to work alongside professional scientists as junior members of Oak Ridge research teams.
