Art
The art program at Coe provides students with a broad background, as well as the opportunity for in-depth specialization. Coe students often combine art with other majors or collateral concentrations in such fields as journalism, public relations and education. The outstanding internship and off-campus opportunities available through Coe are important supplements to the curriculum.
Program Highlights:
- Areas of study offered are: art history, ceramics, sculpture, digital art, drawing, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking, and education certification.
- The Dows Fine Arts Center houses state-of-the-art facilities for the wide range of courses offered by the department.
- Vast work spaces for each medium are accessible to students 24-hours
- Internship and off-campus experiences supplement each concentration
- Art History offers an extensive slide library of over 25,000 slides, serving all studio areas and art history.
