Accounting

Students majoring in accounting at Coe College have two degree options: the managerial accounting major and the public accounting major. The managerial accounting major is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in private industry or the not-for-profit sector. The public accounting major is designed for students interested in practicing public accounting and those desiring the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation.

Program Highlights:

• Small class sizes allow for individualized attention; enrollment in most upper- level courses is 15 or fewer students.
• Most majors in accounting complete an accounting internship which frequently lead to employment opportunities following graduation.
• The CPA exam pass rate for Coe students has historically exceeded the national average.
• Active student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (I.M.A.).
