What is your favorite class to teach and why?
My political theory classes, where our discussions of the readings can go in any direction and often do.
What research or projects are you currently working on with Coe students?
I am advising Grady Brown on a senior honors thesis researching education reform and the relationships between levels of government.

According to the play count, the most played songs are "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley and "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes.
What do you enjoy doing outside of class?
I write songs and play guitar
What is the best getaway location, local or abroad?
Indian Creek Nature Center is only a few miles away, but you can get away from it all very effectively.
What does teaching at Coe mean to you?
It means I get to spend time talking about ideas that matter with some of the most interesting people around.
What advice would you give a prospective student?
Sit in on a class, any class. It's what we do here, and it gives a better impression of Coe than anything else.
