Coe is committed to making your education affordable. The following
are forms of financial aid opportunities that are available at
Coe. The qualifications for each type of aid vary. For specifics,
please see the following links:
- Scholarships: These are available to students with
concentrated talents in specific areas. Coe offers the following
types of scholarships: academics,
business/accounting/economics,
fine and
performing arts, foreign
language, science,
and writing.
You are also encouraged to apply
for outside scholarships.
- Need-based grants: There are a number of need-based
grants available based on your financial need. These grants
require no repayment. Examples of need-based grants include
the Iowa Tuition Grant for Iowa residents who will attend a
private college in the state, and Pell Grants which are awarded
by the federal government to students from any state.
- Work study: Work study allows you to "earn as
you learn." Your job will be on or near campus. You will
arrange your work hours around your class schedule. Click here
for the College
Work Study Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Loans: Students can take advantage of numerous loan
opportunities which require repayment, typically six months
following graduation. Loans for students are available through
the federal government regardless of credit history or current
finances. Parents may also borrow through the federal government
or through private lenders provided that they qualify.
