Course Requirements
Ten courses are required to complete the major in sociology, including:
- Introductory Sociology
- Methods of Social Research
- Sociological Theory
- Seminar in Sociology
- Two half-courses in Statistics (totaling one semester)
- Five additional sociology courses, including at least one course numbered 400 or above
*The minor in sociology consists of six courses, including
- Introductory Sociology
- Methods of Social Research
- Sociological Theory
- Three additional sociology courses, including at least one course numbered 400 or above
