Public Relations Faculty

	Pam Carstens Roger & Mary Baxter Professor of Business Administration and World Affairs, Chair B.A., Coe College M.B.A., Ph.D., The University of Iowa Email: pcarsten@coe.edu Dr. Carstens teaches marketing, advertising, and strategic management. She is the Administrative Coordinator of Coe's Public Relations degree. Pam also runs small business consulting projects for the department and frequently supervises student research projects. She is active with the Investment Fund.

	Rob Kuennen Assistant Professor of Stead Department of Business Administration and Economics B.A., Notre Dame M.B.A., University of Iowa Email: rkuennen@coe.edu Professor Kuennen teaches both marketing and management courses and has an interest in international business/marketing. He lived and worked abroad for over two years and taught courses in the Czech Republic and Ecuador. He was in private industry for several years before committing himself to academia.

	Rod Pritchard Instructor in Public Relations Director of Marketing and Public Relations B.A., Wartburg College M.A., University of Northern Iowa Email: rpritcha@coe.edu Mr. Pritchard has more than 30 years of professional experience in the fields of journalism, broadcasting, communications, and marketing and public relations. While working for an international agribusiness company, he traveled extensively in the U.S. and western Europe. In addition to teaching public relations, he has served as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Coe College since March 2003.

	Lucille Goodson Associate Professor of Art A.A., B.S., Black Hills State College M.F.A., Indiana University Email: lgoodson@coe.edu Professor Goodson specializes in photography, printmaking, drawing, and two-dimensional design.

	Peter Thompson Marvin D. Cone Professor of Art B.A., M.A., M.F.A., University of Iowa Email: pthompso@coe.edu Professor Thompson specializes in painting, digital art, drawing, and art history.

	Jane Nesmith Adjunct Assistant Professor of Rhetoric B.A., The College of Wooster M.A., Indiana University Ph.D., University of Iowa Email: jnesmith@coe.edu Dr. Nesmith teaches Rhetorical Theory and Practice, Professional Writing, and Advanced Writing Workshop. She is also the faculty advisor for The Pearl.

	Karen Sindelar Adjunct Assistant Professor of Rhetoric; Director of the Speaking Center B.A., Luther College M.A., Antioch New England Graduate School Email: ksindela@coe.edu Ms. Sindelar teaches Public Speaking, Nonverbal Communication, and Public Relations courses. She is the Director of the Speaking Center, the Campus Compact Service Learning Faculty Representative and on the National Leadership Task Force for Communicating Common Ground National Service Learning Initiative for Multicultural Education.

	Deborah Wooldridge Adjunct Assistant Professor of Rhetoric B.A., B.S., Iowa State University M.F.A, Yale University Email: dwooldri@coe.edu Ms. Wooldridge teaches Interpersonal, Intercultural, and Small Group Communication; and Speech Seminars.

	Susanne Gubanc Adjunct Assistant Professor of Rhetoric Communication Studies Administrative Coordinator B.A., University of Illinois - Springfield M.A., Miami University (Ohio) M.A., University of York, England Email: sgubanc@coe.edu Ms. Gubanc teaches journalism courses and serves as advisor to the Cosmos campus newspaper.
