International Studies: Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will gain insight into the complexity of global issues and the diversity of disciplinary frameworks for understanding them.
  2. Students will gain insight into the nature of interrelationships between and among the peoples, states, and cultures of the world.
  3. Students will obtain the logical and analytical tools they need to be informed citizens in a globalizing world.
  4. Students will acquire first-hand experience of transnational issues through study abroad.
  5. Students will demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills in English and at least basic communication skills in a second modern language.
