Academic Advising

At Coe, we're committed to your success from day one. To make your transition into the rigors of college academics easier, all students are assigned an academic advisor during their first year of study. Because your advisor will also be your First-Year Seminar instructor, you will have the opportunity to see your advisor frequently.

Whether or not you know specifically what area of study you'd like to pursue, your advisor can help you get on the right track. Your advisor will work closely with you to map out your long-term goals, and determine how you can get the most out of your college experience to meet those goals.

Not only will you have the guidance of an academic advisor your first year, you are free to consult at any time with professors in your major field of interest. After the first term or at the end of the first year, you may wish to be advised by a departmental consultant, who will provide you with academic guidance and support until graduation.
