Scholarship Opportunities

Frequently Asked Questions

Coe provides more than 90 percent of its students with some form of financial aid. In addition to academic awards, the Music Department's scholarship auditions enable prospective students to compete for annual awards ranging from $1,000 to full tuition, including:

  • Marshall: Full-Tuition Scholarships for students seeking a Bachelor of Music. Click here for more information on the Marshall Scholarships, application requirements, and application form.
  • Schauwecker: Partial-Tuition Scholarships, renewable $4,000. Note: no special application form is required in applying for Schauwecker Scholarships; the only requirements are admission to the college and participation in the Scholarship Competition in February.
  • Basler Vocal Music Scholarships for Bachelor of Music students in Vocal Performance or Vocal Music Education. Click here for more information on the Basler Scholarship, application requirements, and application form.

All scholarships are offered to students regardless of financial need. Students do not have to major in music to receive a scholarship, but they must participate in ensembles as assigned to retain their scholarships for all four years at Coe.
