Academic Requirements
Eleven courses are required to complete a major in mathematics:
- Calculus I, II (or the equivalent from high school)+
- Foundations of Advanced Mathematics+
- Calculus III
- Linear Algebra
- Modern Algebra I
- Computer Science I
- Four more advanced courses in mathematics or statistics, one
of which must be in advanced analysis
+These three courses plus three more advanced courses
in mathematics or statistics comprise a minor in mathematics.
Eleven courses are required to complete a major in computer
science:
- Computer Science I, II+
- Discrete Structures
- Computer Organization and Operating Systems+
- Data Structures and Algorithms
- Programming Languages
- Calculus I+
- Foundations of Advanced Mathematics+
- Three computer science electives, chosen from such courses
as Introduction to Database Systems, Principles of Computer
Graphics, and Introduction to Compilers
+These five courses plus two more computer science
electives comprise a minor in computer science.
