Foreign Language Scholarships

Each year high school seniors with strong grades in a foreign language are invited to compete for one of our Foreign Language Scholarships. During the month of February, students come to Coe for the competition and are compared to other students who have had the same amount of high school language study. Several scholarships are available in each of the modern European languages, and strong students are encouraged to compete regardless of future academic plans. Winners take a minimum of four semesters of foreign language study while at Coe, and they are encouraged but not required to major or minor in a specific language. These scholarships are sizable and are renewable for four years. If you are interested in more information, please contact the Office of Admission.

Study Abroad Options: Exchange Programs are available in Germany, France and Spain, and students have access to many other programs for studying abroad in those and other countries, either for a semester or a year.
