Business/Finance
Coe College seeks to fill a one-year position in finance, beginning
August 2008. Teaching requirements include three courses in the
fall semester and three in the spring semester. Ideal candidates
will have a completed Ph.D. (by Fall 2008) with significant graduate
coursework in finance. Ph.D.s in finance or economics preferred;
Ph.D.s in business and MBAs with significant teaching experience

Coordinator of Service Learning and Leadership
General Qualifications - Master's degree in
student personnel, counseling or related field preferred; Bachelor's
degree required; experience with student leadership programs and
community service; experience at a residential, liberal arts college
desirable; proficiency in written and oral communication; and strong
management/organizational skills.
Primary Responsibility - Oversee Coe's
service learning program, leadership initiatives, and student
organizations.
Service Learning
- Supervise VISTA community service position.
- Coordinate volunteer opportunities for Coe students during
orientation and throughout the academic year.
- Work with FYS faculty to incorporate service learning in FYS
classes
- Coordinate tracking of service learning hours required for
graduation
- Maintain an active database of outreach opportunities.
- Manage outreach efforts with area agencies and provide opportunities
for students and neighborhood residents.
Leadership
- Advise and organize Coe's leadership initiatives.
- Teach Coe’s Crimson and Gold leadership class.
- Recruit and retain students for leadership training and development.
- Lead Coe's Boundary Waters Leadership Retreat.
- Organize
and implement a leadership award banquet at the end of the academic
year.
Student Organizations
- Advise and maintain active student organization database, web
presence and advise organizations as needed.
- Serve on the Student Affairs Committee.
- Assist students wishing to start new clubs and organizations.
General Duties
- Responsible for attending various weekly meetings (Campus Life
meetings, committee meetings, etc.)
- Responsible for on-call rotation with other professional staff.
- Serve as a member of the New Student Orientation team.
- Provide
ongoing assessment and evaluation of Campus Life programs.
- Establish
and maintain a positive working relationship with custodial,
maintenance and other campus colleagues.
- Responsible for other
duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Students.
Compensation
- 12 month contract, $24,000 - $27,000 with competitive benefits,
reserved parking space, furnished apartment, domestic partner/spouse

Coe College, a member of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC)

Graphic Designer
A retirement has created a rare
opening for a Graphic Designer to work as part of the Marketing
and Public Relations team at Coe College. Primary responsibilities
include the design of a wide variety of college publications, maintaining
relationships with printing vendors, and working to build brand
identity in Coe's
printed materials. The successful candidate must be detail
oriented and possess excellent human relations, communications
and organizational skills. Proven experience with Adobe Creative
Suite for Macintosh is required. Other multimedia experience,
including Web design, is strongly desirable. Bachelor's

Student Union Coordinator

Primary Responsibility - Oversee the day-to-day
operations of Coe's student union.
Campus Information and Box Office
- Serve as facility manager for the student union. Includes operational
oversight of the building schedule, staffing and equipment. Includes
the coordination of maintenance needs and requests.
- Oversee the campus information and switchboard operation in
the student union including the training and supervision of student
workers.
- Oversee the Box Office and the ticket sales for campus events.
Union Management
- Responsible for daily operations of the Student Union to including
facility management, space allocation and event management.
- Provide facilities and services which foster social interaction
and educational opportunities for the campus community.
- Hire, train and supervise campus set-up crew and a tech crew.
- Be a liaison with food services, the bookstore and the mailroom
- Supervise Coordinator of Reservations.
Summer Camps and Conferences
- Coordinate building reservations, conferences, and events within
the Student Union and residential buildings in conjunction with
staff and student employees.
- Direct sales and marketing of the Summer Conference programs.
- Hire, train, supervise and develop Conference staff.
