Peterson Hall of Science is home to the Chemistry, Physics, and Biology Departments. It holds classrooms and laboratories in addition to the chemistry library and faculty offices. The Coe Writing Center is located at the lower level of Peterson and Stewart Halls.

Peterson Hall was named for Dr. Ben H. Peterson `18 who was professor of chemistry at Coe from 1920-1961. It was built in 1968.
