Leading commentator on race Jelani Cobb to speak at Coe Contemporary Issues Forum

One of America's leading commentators on race, Jelani Cobb, will be the speaker for the 14th Coe College Contemporary Issues Forum on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Sinclair Auditorium. Grammy nominee, drummer Matt Wilson to perform at Coe College Jazz Summit Grand Finale Concert

Grammy nominee and drummer Matt Wilson will perform at the Coe College 2017 Grand Finale Concert on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. in Sinclair Auditorium. Iowa's largest jazz festival will feature more than 90 middle school and high school jazz bands from across the Midwest. Award winners will be recognized during the Grand Finale Concert intermission. Two abstract artists bring welcome pops of color to upcoming Coe art exhibits

Two abstract artists will bring welcome pops of color to art exhibitions opening mid-February in the Sinclair Galleries at Coe College. "Open [sketch]book: close readings and evolutions" by the Portland-based abstract painter Thérèse Murdza and "Apparent Magnitude," comprised of installations by the Twin Cities-based fiber artist Kristina Fjellman, will be on display.
